lessLIE, Coast salish artist, began studying Coast Salish art in 1995 while working on his undergraduate degree in First Nations Studies at Malaspina University College. He is currently working on his Masters of Arts within the Interdisciplinary Studies Program at the University of Victoria. His main influence has been Susan Point, but he was first encouraged and inspired by his cousin, Joe Wilson. Other immediate influences: Manual Salazar, Maynard Johnny Jr, Shaun Peterson and Luke Marston.
