"I called it 'Life Giver' to honour women and in particular the women that played an important roll in my life, my mom, my daughter, my granddaughter and many more, you know who you are. We have to honour our women for they give us life, carry us in their body, nourish us until they bring us into this world. This isn’t about equality or women being a victim, it’s about honouring the strength women have yet show us compassion and love. We have to start teaching our boys and men to hold respect for our women and teach our girls and women they deserve respect no matter what. “Life Giver” honours our mothers and woman who have been mistreated for far too long. Indigenous women and women of colour are even more disrespected in today’s patriarchal society. I hope we can change the way we view woman and give them the respect they deserve."
